User Guide: Basic Resource Configuration¶
This chapter covers the resource preparation tasks to complete in SimOne before starting a simulation. Resources are interconnected — it is recommended to configure them step by step as needed before running your first simulation task.

| Test Case Management | Manage the test case library (folder/tag classification), import external test cases (OpenSCENARIO format), export test cases, and manage fast test sets |
| Ego Vehicle Management | Select and import ego vehicle models (built-in models or UE-packaged import), configure sensor devices, dynamics parameters (including third-party dynamics, MIL only), and rendering window settings (DIL only) |
| Algorithm Management | Connect custom control algorithms; in the Collaborative Edition, local and cloud algorithms are managed independently and cannot be shared |
| Resource Management | Import maps and external scenes, import plug-in ego vehicles and props, custom models and billboard models, and browse the built-in resource library |
| Global Settings | Configure visualization tools, system parameters (IP/port), Agent list, and other global options; in the Collaborative Edition, only visualization tool settings are supported on the cloud side |
Tip: Basic resource configuration is typically completed before creating or running simulation tasks. It is recommended to follow the order: Ego Vehicle → Algorithm → Map Resources → Test Cases.
